Spray Seal

WestConnex – Tier 1 Civil Construction Spray Seal Works

NA Group played a key role in the WestConnex project, supporting Tier 1 contractor CPB with specialised spray seal works across more than 150 shifts. As one of Australia’s largest infrastructure undertakings, the project required precision, adaptability, and integration across multiple disciplines.
Our scope included the application of 7mm primer seals and low cutter seals on sub-base and lean mix layers, as well as 10mm sprayed bituminous waterproofing (SBWM) on bridge decks. A combination of S45R, C170, and QDP binders was utilised to meet the varied performance demands of each treatment area.

Works were delivered through a mix of day and night shifts and were completed in close coordination with our in-house asphalt and concrete teams. Tight access zones across the project required a high level of manual application and skilled operatives to ensure consistent quality and coverage.

Flexibility and responsiveness were crucial to ensure sealing activities aligned with construction sequencing and critical path milestones. NA Group’s ability to mobilise quickly and deliver with precision helped keep the project moving forward on schedule.
