Princes Highway is a major arterial road that extends from Sydney to the south coast – a scenic route that follows the eastern seaboard. The surface of the highway is continuous concrete pavement with asphalt overlay in some sections.
The project required the restoration of concrete pavement and to match the pre-existing road surface quickly and with minimum disruption to locals and motorists. Many of the replacement slabs were located in the fast lane, which made it very time restrictive due to late ROLS. Using two and, where possible, three separate crews to maximize productivity we completed the job efficiently, safely and with minimal disturbances to local residents and businesses.
